PP10 Counting Sheep pincushion kit

This design was featured in Stitch magazine, United Kingdom in December 2009! The design, measuring 3inches (7cm)in diameter introduces a beginner to simple stumpwork techniques. It incorporates a bit of stumpwork, with raised, textured stitches and threads. Suitable for a beginner to stumpwork, who has some knowledge of crewel embroidery stitches. With the pincushion, I have used drizzle stitch for one sheep, a slip of French knots appliqued onto the background for the second and a couched woollen thread for the third. Alternatively drizzle stitch can be used for all three sheep. Both (see Counting Sheep picture) designs can be done either way! Little wired horns complete the design.
A full kit which contains a square of green cotton fabric with design screened onto it, backing calico or muslin, crewel needle, milliners needle,chenille needle, hand dyed cotton and silk threads,dmc stranded cottons, fine wool boucle, white florist wire for horns, fabric for slip,wooden pincushion form, comprehensive set of step by step instructions and 2 full colour photographs.
